Coffee & Lemon, JBA Building– The University, through its College of Healthcare Education conducted a seminar for its faculty members and students dubbed “Strengthening Care and Collaboration: A Seminar on Elderly Care and Self-Awareness for Faculty and Students” today, 11 December 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the seminar, the resource speakers presented and discussed various topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Noel Alfonso B. Cacho, Director for Health Services and Training & Staff Development of the Ripplong River Nursing Home tackled the Care of the Vulnerable Elderly: Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. Dr. Cacho also oriented the participants on the policies, guidelines, expectations and protocols during the On-the-Job Training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Alfred O. Fomocao, Jr., Dean for the College of Healthcare Education deepened discussions on mental health and self-awarenes through his topic on Mental Health and Self-Awareness: Understanding, Accepting and Loving Oneself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Michelle C. Doss, Director for Gender and Development also presented her topic, Emotional Intelligence, Reflective Practice, and Personal and Professional Growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Claire B. Agyapas, Guidance Counselor from the University then presented the general results of the personality tests and their implications for personality development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by MPSU-Bontoc Administrator Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed, noted that elderly care in Filipino culture and most especially for Mountain Province is not merely an act of service, but also an act of gratitude.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
