Calling all student storytellers in the Cordillera!<\/p>\n

The Department of Agrarian Reform \u2013 Cordillera Administrative Region officially opens PelikulAgraryo 2026, now on its second year.<\/p>\n

With the theme \u201cTinig ng Lupang Malaya: Kwento at Aral-Agraryo, Butil na Pamana sa Kabataan,\u201d the competition challenges tertiary-level students to create compelling 10\u201320 minute narrative films that capture real agrarian reform stories.<\/p>\n

Participants may choose to feature the life of an Agrarian Reform Beneficiary (ARB), including beneficiaries of Project SPLIT or highlight the milestones and impact of an Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organization (ARBO).<\/p>\n

Each team may submit one entry per category for a chance to win regional prizes of up to \u20b160,000 for Best Film, along with special prizes totaling up to \u20b190,000. Winning entries will advance to represent the Cordillera at the National PelikulAgraryo 2026 Film Festival, where the Best Film winner can receive up to \u20b1120,000 in cash prizes.<\/p>\n

Beyond the awards, this is an opportunity to amplify the voices of farming communities and transform their journeys into meaningful cinema.<\/p>\n

Confirmed participants will also attend an exclusive film workshop designed to strengthen their creative and technical skills. Sessions will cover:
\u2022 Introduction to the SPLIT Project
\u2022 Basics of Directing
\u2022 Basics of Screenwriting
\u2022 Basics of Cinematography
\u2022 Basics of Editing<\/p>\n

These sessions will equip teams with the knowledge and guidance needed to craft powerful and impactful stories.
