Mountain Province State University (MPSU) recognized Engr. Santiago T. Recile for his 34 years of service to the institution during the \u201cMabuhay Pasasalamat\u201d program held on August 12 at the IPED Building, MPSU-Tadian Campus. Said gathering was attended by university officials, faculty and staff, family members, and members of the MPSU community who came to mark his retirement and contributions to the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Engr. Recile was among the pioneering faculty members of the former Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC). His career at the institution spanned more than three decades, during which he served as an educator and took part in various academic and research activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his retirement message, Engr. Recile recalled that becoming a teacher was not part of his original career plan. \u201cBefore coming here to become an educator and then enjoying it for the past 34 years, never did I dream of becoming a teacher. I always dreamt of becoming an engineer which is far from being a teacher. But God has a plan for each of us-He brought me here in MPSU.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After more than three decades in the academe, he said his students became an important part of his appreciation for the teaching profession. \u201cI learned to love the profession because of you, and am most proud and happiest especially when I see you graduate and passed your respective professional licensure examinations. Some of you are my colleagues now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue likewise recognized Engr. Recile\u2019s contribution to the university, noting that his work has left a tangible mark on the institution. \u201cYour contributions are not just remembered-they are visible. They stand in the buildings we use, the facilities that serve our students, and the improvements that continue to benefit generations of MPSUans.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Cue also acknowledged the example Engr. Recile provided throughout his years of service, particularly his \u201cprofessionalism, humility, and quiet dedication.\u201d He assured the retiree that his association with the university would continue beyond his official service. \u201cThis university will always be your home.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program included messages and presentations from members of the university community, a tribute to the retiree, responses from Engr. Recile and his family, and the presentation of plaques and tokens in recognition of his service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After 34 years, Engr. Recile leaves the university with a career shaped by teaching, professional growth, research, and relationships built within the MPSU community. His retirement marks the end of his official service, but the work and influence he contributed to the institution remain part of its continuing story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MPSU extends its appreciation to Engr. Santiago T. Recile for 34 years of service and wishes him and his family a fulfilling and meaningful retirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
