MPSU allies with PDRRMO to capacitate BSN studes on mass casualty incidents


In an effort to prepare the level 4 students of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) for large-scale casualty incidents, the Mountain Province State University (MPSU) through the School of Healthcare Education (SHE) in collaboration with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Office (PDRRMO) spearheaded an activity dubbed, “Code Red: Mass Casualty Incident Response Simulation in Disaster Nursing” held at the Coffee and Lemon Functional Hall, JBA Bldg., Samoki, Bontoc today, February 13.

University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by Director for International and Local Linkages Dr. Karen B. Cue, delivered an empowering message to the nursing students.

The facilitators and trainers from PDRRMO were Mr. Sohrab B. Mi-ing, Mr. Crismar P. Farnican, Mr. Allan C. Yoga, Mr. Denver F. Chakas, Mr. Alfred L. Claver Jr., and Mr. Sherwin G. Peckley.

Said activity extends until tomorrow, February 14. Further, there were still 2 batches of BSN students who will undergo the same training, which will be conducted on the following weeks of this month, February 2025.#
