In its continuous quest to provide quality education to its stakeholders, three undergraduate programs and one graduate program of Bontoc campus are undergoing a three-day accreditation survey visit from 12 March 2025 to 14 March 2025.
The programs, including Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BSCrim), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA), and Master in Public Administration (MPA) are subjected to Level IV Phase 2 validation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP). The areas subjected to accreditation are research, performance of graduates, community service, international linkages and consortium, well-developed planning process and compliance report.
University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue in a video message, thanked the AACCUP for the time and effort in ensuring that the Universityโs program offerings are aligned to the highest standard of education. โThis significant activity is crucial for our relentless pursuit of quality and excellent academic development,โ Dr. Cue added.
Dr. Carlo F. Vadil, the AACCUP Coordinator is in the University for a face-to-face validation. Other areas are done online by accreditors namely: Atty. Carlo T. Nabo, Ed.D. and Dr. Ciedelle P. Salazar for BSCrim; Dr. Ann Concorida F. Mier and Prof. Rosa F. Diestro for BSOA; Dr. Sarah S. Taupan and Dr. Marlou R. Savella for BSN; and Dr. Ronnie N. Parica and Dr. Dennis M. Bacuyag for MPA.
In his message, Dr. Vadil stressed that accreditation is not just about compliance—it is about continuous growth and transformation. โOur role as external evaluators from AACCUP is to provide an objective and constructive perspective, helping the University see its strengths and identify opportunities for further enhancement,โ he added.
Facilitated by the Universityโs Institutional Quality Assurance Unit, the accreditation is conducted yearly to provide the University an opportunity for critical analysis leading to improvement in quality, services, and operations and to ensure that all its programs meet a defined standard of quality.#
