
Baguio City โ The Regional Gender and Development Committee – Cordillera Administrative Region (RGADC-CAR) awarded Mountain Province State University (MPSU) a plaque of recognition as one of the top universities in the region for championing gender equality during the 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration Closing Ceremony yesterday, March 28, 2025. The event was held at DPWH-CAR, 4th Floor Multi-purpose Hall, Engineer’s Hill.
This recognition highlights MPSU’s efforts in raising the standards of gender equality and women’s empowerment in the Cordillera region. The university ranked among the top institutions globally, besting over 700 colleges and universities worldwide in the 2024 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Ranking for the United Nations’ (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) No. 5, which is Gender Equality.
In an acceptance message delivered by Ms. Michelle Doss on behalf of MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, he expressed his gratitude to RGADC-CAR for the recognition and reaffirmed his support to MPSU’s Gender and Development Unit in its upcoming workshops and seminars.
Along with MPSU, other recognized institutions in CAR included Saint Louis University (SLU), Benguet State University (BSU), Ifugao State University (IFSU), and Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC).#
