
Samoki, BontocโMountain Province State University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue graced the School of International and Sustainable Hospitality and Tourism Management (SISHTM) fine dining event with his presence and inspirational messages held at the Coffee and Lemon, JBA Building on May 2-3, 2025.
With the theme โBuilding Connections Through the Social Art of Fine Dining,โ the two-day event attended by Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) on May 2 and Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) on May 3 was designed to foster relationships and enhance service excellence and professional dining practices.
In the messages of Pres. Cue, he highlighted the essence of fine dining not only to the professional excellence of the students but also to their social values.
โAs I said, you are here not only for a palatable meal but for a memory that blends with a purpose. Hence, as you savor every meal, may you also taste the story behind it. Remember, as you are part of this dinner, you are also part of a bigger vision for the future of sustainable tourism,โ said Dr. Cue to the BSTM students on May 2.
Further, he stressed the unwavering support of the institution to the skills and academic development of students during his message on May 3 for the BSHM students delivered by Social Orientation Coordinator Mr. Alvin L. Katano, whereas he stated, โThis is part of your core training for real-world application, as Mountain Province State Universityโs Hospitality program wanted to teach you that true hospitality lies in mastering both soft skills and technical expertise by immersing you into this kind of learning experience.โ
