
University Auditorium, Bontoc campus—207 clinical graduates from Batch Talaw were honored today, 15 May 2025, during the First Clinical Graduation Ceremony of the School of Healthcare Education.
With the theme โNurses in Motion, Transforming Care, Inspiring Change: Towards a Resilient Healthcare Workforce,โ this event marked the first clinical graduation ceremony for clinical completers.
The Guest Speaker, JO2 Filbert O. Solang, RNโcurrently the Chief Jail Nurse at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)-Mountain Province, inspired the graduates by emphasizing the core of the nursing practice. “As a nurse, you will touch countless lives, so always remember that the greatest medicine is a compassionate heart and a listening ear,” he said, urging them to uphold the principle of therapeutic care in all their endeavors.
Mr. Dionisio Wacdisen who delivered a message on behalf of Congressman Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr., encouraged the graduates to remain true to themselves and persevere through lifeโs challenges. โLife after college may not always be easy, but I encourage you to keep pushing forward despite the obstacles. Go out into the world with confidence and make MPSU proud,โ he said.
University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue further challenged the graduates to become not only caregivers but also advocates for dignity, healing, and justice. โMay you always carry the values of this university, and may your strong presence help move the world forward,โ he added.
Meanwhile, Ms. Heather Same-et Engngeg, Student Nurses Organization Governor who delivered the batch message, extended her gratitude to the administration and the faculty members for their unwavering guidance and commitment to excellence, which has enabled them to strive for the highest standards in nursing practice.
