
398 student grantees from Mountain Province State University (MPSU) received their financial assistance today, with 369 under the Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) and 29 under the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES). This distribution marks the third batch of recipients for the first semester of Academic Year 2024โ2025.
The financial grants are provided under the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST) of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), made possible through the Universityโs continued partnership with the Congressional Office and Cong. Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr.
The TDP offers Php 7,500 per semester, while the TES grants Php 10,000 per semester, benefiting academically capable but financially disadvantaged students in the pursuit of higher education.
Inspiring words were shared with the student-beneficiaries by MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue and Congressman Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr., represented by Atty. Cyphrine Maxcel Dalog-Duclan.
Prior to the payout, an orientation on the policies and guidelines of the grants were carried out by Scholarships and Grants Coordinator Mr. Jay B. Napanoy. Student beneficiaries also shared their testimonials.
Further, an information dissemination from other agencies regarding their services and processes were conducted by Ms. Carmencita L. Chaluyen from DSWD-SWAD, Dr. Michael Alain B. Pinlac of SSS Bontoc represented by Mr. Jay Jesus Merlin, and Ms. Chari K. Wachayna from the Philippine Red Cross.#
