Camp Geronimo F. Montes, Bontoc, MP—107 Criminology interns of the Kabataang Simbolo ng Integridad, Galing, Tapat at Adhikain ng Lingkod Alay sa Sambayanan (KASIGTALAS) MPSU Class of 2025, held their Pre-Internship Reception Rites today, 15 August 2025.

Reception rites for BS in Criminology interns are a tradition where incoming students are formally welcomed into the program, often involving physical and mental challenges to instill discipline and camaraderie. These rites are crucial parts of the criminology curriculum, symbolizing the transition from civilian life to the rigors of the field.

MPSU President Dr. Edgar G Cue, represented by Chief Administrative Officer Atty. Dexter C. Lingbanan challenged the interns to master their craft until safety is instinctive, treat everyone with dignity, be honest about mistakes, and bring pride to their family, agency, and university through consistent excellence.

The said interns will now be deployed to the various tri-bureaus in the province.#
