August 18, 2025- Mountain Province State University (MPSU) opened a two-day workshop at Coffee and Lemon Cafe, JBA Building, Samoki, to develop the universityโs flagship research and development (R&D) programs, emphasizing relevance to local communities and long-term sustainability.
The activity, titled โIgniting Innovation: Strategic Crafting of MPSUโs Flagship R&D Programs,โ convened faculty, center directors, project leaders, and R&D coordinators to institutionalize and harmonize its research and development programs, particularly in five priority areas: Coffee, Water Sustainability, Mental Health and Gender Inclusivity, Institutional Digital Systems, HAIL, and the MP RIISE.
In the opening remarks of University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue delivered by Chief Administrative Officer Atty. Dexter C. Lingbanan, he solicited the participants’ support for the realization of the R&D programs. “Keep in mind that these areas were not chosen at random, they reflect the very heartbeat of the Mountain Province and MPSU- its people, its environment, and our collective dreams. Through this initiative, let us strive to reach the universityโs pursuit of national recognition, global partnership, and transformative community engagement.”, Pres Cue stated.
Said workshop will run until tomorrow, August 19, 2025.
