Said officials and advisers took their oath before the representative of the Lone District of Mountain Province, Hon. Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr. “This ceremony represents the faith and confidence your peers on you,” he remarked. Cong. Dalog further encouraged the student leaders to adopt a collaborative and cooperative mindset; keep their integrity and values high; speak up for their peers; set learning as their priority; and uphold professionalism.

Meanwhile, University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by Chief Administrative Officer Atty. Dexter C. Lingbanan reminded the officers and advisers to keep in heart that “in every room, every council meeting, and every student concern they face, choose action, twinned with wisdom over apathy, choose unity over division and truth over convenience.”

“We are here not to be served, but to serve; not to be praised, but to be present,” he added.

Provincial Vice-Governor Jose O. Dominguez also stressed the importance of service and leading by example. “Magserve talaga tayo,” he noted. “Kung ano ang nakita natin na kailangan at may maitutulong tayo, gawin natin,” he added.

FSSG and SSC-Bontoc President Mr. Hill Coleman Awichen challenged the student leaders to heed the advice and takeaways the local government officials and the University President shared.

The ceremony was also attended by students, university officials, and personnel.

To serenade the attendees, Ms. Ashley Aliga and Ms. Zenith Vale Changat performed song renditions.#
