147 Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Level II students of Mountain Province State University (MPSU) received an orientation and a workshop on Community Health Nursing 1 (CHN 1) at Coffee and Lemon Cafe, JBA Bldg., Samoki, Bontoc yesterday, August 26, 2025.
Facilitated by the faculty members of the School of Healthcare Education (SHE) , the said activity aims to fully equip the BSN Level II students with knowledge and skills related to assessing and rendering care to the members of the community who are in need of assistance in improving their health status.
Gracing the activity was University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, who emphasized the significance of CHN to the community. “Community health nursing is about showing up, not just with fancy tools and a uniform, but with your presence, your warmth, and your respect. Itโs about walking into someoneโs home,” he highlighted.
The second batch for the same activity is also set to have their orientation and workshop on September 3, 2025.
