La Trinidad, Benguet—The Board of Regents (BOR) Finance Committee (FinCom) of Mountain Province State University (MPSU) convened today for its meeting held in hybrid format at the Department of Science and Technology–Cordillera Administrative Region (DOST-CAR) Conference Hall today, September 4, 2025.
Present onsite were DOST Regional Director Dr. Nancy A. Bantog, CHED-CAR Regional Director Dr. Jimmy G. Catanes, represented by Dr. Ma. Geraldine Casipit, and MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, together with key officials from MPSU, including Vice President for Administration and Finance Mr. Reynaldo P. Gayo Jr., Chief Administrative Officer Atty. Dexter C. Lingbanan, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco, and the Supervising Administrative Officer and Director for Budget and Fiscal Planning Ms. Norma W. Akilith. Also in attendance onsite were Board Secretary Ms. Derine Aguid, Office of the Board Secretary personnel Ms. Sheryl Cherwaken, Budget Officer Mr. Mel Co and MIS Staff Mr. Jude Baguingey.
Joining online were Faculty Regent Dr. Johnny P. Cayabas, Student Regent Mr. Hill Coleman Awichen, Private Sector Representative Mr. Yuri Cullalad, and Director for Local and International Affairs Dr. Karen B. Cue.
The meeting focused on financial updates crucial to university operations, highlighting the collaborative efforts of both onsite and online participants in ensuring sound fiscal management and accountability.
