September 4, 2025 – Mountain Province State University hosted the 2nd Quarter Meeting of the State Universities and Colleges of Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR-SUC) Bamboo Project Team for the Bamboo Industry Development Program, which was held at Coffee & Lemon Café, JBA Bldg., Samoki, Bontoc today.

This was participated in by Bamboo Project Team representatives from the different SUCs in Cordillera, namely, Mountain Province State University (MPSU), Benguet State University (BSU), Kalinga State University (KSU), University of Abra (UA), Ifugao State University (IFSU), and Apayao State College (ASC).

In the message of the University President, Dr. Edgar G. Cue, delivered by Bontoc Campus Executive Director Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed, he emphasized the purpose of the meeting. “Our purpose today is both strategic and forward-looking. We are here to review the milestones of our Fiscal Year 2025 implementation, to assess how far we have come, and to prepare a stronger and more coordinated plan for 2026. By doing so, we ensure not only continuity but also the long-term sustainability of this regional and national priority program,” Dr. Cue said.

Said meeting aims to review the progress made by the project implementation for 2025 and develop a strategic plan for fiscal year 2026.
