The Universityโs Bontoc campus commenced its 2025 Intramurals Sports Fest with a bang today, 25 September 2025, as students and personnel colored the streets of Bontoc with a parade and an opening ceremony held at the Eyeb Covered Gym. Originally slated for 22-24 September 2025, it was rescheduled due to Super Typhoon Nando.
Bearing the theme โBrewing Strength, Building Unity: Sports and Culture in Action,โ six competing teams, namely, Crimson Knights (College of International Hospitality and Sustainable Tourism Management), Blazing Phoenix (College of Accountancy, Business Management and Information Technology), White Pythons (College of Healthcare Education), Green Hornets (College of Criminal Justice Education and Liberal Arts), Blue Wolves (College of Teacher Education) and Wild Falcons (College of Advanced Education) participated in this yearโs intramurals.
Indigenous and sports games were in full swing after chants and screams filled the opening ceremonies.
In his inspirational message delivered by VP for Internationalization, Planning and Information Management Atty. Dexter C. Lingbanan, University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue challenged the participants to prove that the event is โmore than a contest, but a celebration of discipline, camaraderie, and the indomitable spirit of youth.โ
โTalent winds games, but teamwork and character win championships,โ he added.
The intramurals will run until Saturday, 27 September 2025.#
