October 13, 2025โAssistant Field Coordinator Carmen T. Malabong, representing Project Manager Abigail Ocate of PlanetGold Philippines, presented a Plaque of Recognition to Dr. Edgar G. Cue, University President of Mountain Province State University (MPSU), during a courtesy visit at the Office of the University President.
The recognition highlights MPSUโs active collaboration and steadfast commitment to community development through the successful implementation of several capacity-building activities, including leadership trainings, financial literacy sessions, and community health programs. These initiatives were spearheaded by Dr. Joy Fraine Ngodcho, Director for Extension Services Unit, with the support of various MPSU departments.
The programs benefited the officers and members of the Northern Sagada Barangay Small-Scale Mining Association, empowering local miners to adopt more responsible and sustainable Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining (ASGM) practices.
