In a strive to strengthen partnership with Mountain Province State University, Dr. Eing Ming Wu, Visiting Professor at the University of the Philippines-NCPAG and Senior Managing Advisor, Edu-Connect Southeast Asia Association, met with University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue together with university officials on October 16, 2025, at the University Board Room.

The meeting focused on seeking potential partnerships and exploring Austronesian linkages between MPSU, particularly on strengthening academic cooperation and delving into opportunities for research collaboration and faculty and student exchange.

Dr. Cue emphasized that this partnership presents a great opportunity for faculty members to pursue their graduate studies in Taiwan, enhancing their academic credentials and exposing them to innovative research methodologies and cultural practices. He also suggested incorporating culture-based subjects into the curriculum for inbound students, fostering a diverse learning environment that values the region’s rich cultural heritage.

Furthermore, he assured that the university will strive to provide complimentary accommodation for international exchange students and encourage greater participation and mobility.

The meeting concluded with a tour at Bontoc Museum and View Deck.
