A fine dining event for the students of the College of Accountancy and College of Information Technology enrolled in the Social Orientation (SocOr) course was held at the Coffee and Lemon Hotel, on October 18, 2025.
University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue in his message delivered by Mr. Kheld D. Peru, highlighted the essence of fine dining. He said, โFine dining may sound like a simple practice of etiquette, but at its heart, it is about something much greater: it is about grace, respect, and shared humanity. When we sit at the table, we are reminded that dining is about nourishmentโof both body and soul. This is a venue where we listen with openness, speak with kindness, and recognize that every person around us has a story worth hearing.โ
The event holds significant educational, social, and professional value. It goes beyond just food and contributes to the overall development of students and the university community.
In conclusion, Dr. Cue commended the College of International Hospitality and Sustainable Tourism Management (CIHSTM) and the SocOr unit for spearheading the meaningful program.
