MPSPC’s Arbor Day: Planting 307 Pine Trees for a Sustainable Future


In celebration of the Philippine Arbor Day, the MPSPC, through the NSTP Unit and SSDO Unit, participated in a simultaneous tree-planting activity today. The group successfully planted 307 pine tree seedlings at one of their designated sites in Barangay Tue, Tadian, Mountain Province.

The activity saw the participation of various college officials, personnel, NSTP students, Tulong Dunong Program and Tertiary Education Subsidy grantees, and CENRO personnel. This collaborative effort with CENRO-Sabangan aims to address environmental issues and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Philippine Arbor Day, observed every 25th of June throughout the country, is pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 643 and Republic Act No. 10176.
