MPSPC, led by College President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, is proud to participate in the Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) in the region, taking place from August 7 to August 9, 2024, at the Ifugao State University (IFSU) Main Campus. This year’s theme, โSiyensya, Teknolohiya, at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Kinabukasan,โ emphasizes the importance of providing solutions and opening opportunities in the green economy.
27 science and technology exhibits and interactive displays are being held at the IFSU Luis Hora Gymnasium, showcasing engaging and emerging technologies ready for commercialization by exhibitors from various DOST Research Development Institutions (RDIs) and partner agencies, including MPSPC. The Techno Bazaar features innovative products developed by entrepreneurs and communities supported by DOST in CAR.
The activities during the event include interactive exhibits, a techno bazaar, technology forums, robotics training, startup mapping, and info expos, among others. The RSTW serves as a vital platform for showcasing the outcomes and success stories resulting from these initiatives.
Since its inception in 2017, the RSTW has rotated its hosting among provinces outside Baguio-Benguet to maximize participation from various stakeholders across the region. Kalinga hosted the first event in 2017, followed by Apayao in 2018, Mountain Province in 2019, and, after a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the celebration resumed in Abra in 2023. This year, Ifugao is the proud host of the event.
