MPSPC Continually Fortifies Goal to Achieve Organizational Performance Excellence Through DOST-CAR’s Shared Best Practices in PQA


In its strong bid to attain the Philippine Quality Award and as it incessantly continues to work for the different requirements and needed documents, MPSPC, through the Office of the College President, cordially invited experts from the Department of Science and Technology – CAR to share their best practices in attaining Philippine Quality Award. The expertise sharing of best practices was held last May 2, 2024, at the MPSPC’s Administration Conference Hall facilitated by the Office of the Institutional Quality Assurance Office headed by its Director, Dr. Christie Lynne C. Codod. This was participated by the different Category Champions or representatives from different offices of the Institution.

As pointed out, the Philippine Quality Award is an integrated standard approach for performance management that sets the standard of excellence to help Philippine organizations achieve world-class performance. It is the highest level of national recognition for exemplary organizational performance. To achieve this, the institution has set a series of activities and strategies to use. These activities are in connection to the pursuit of organizational performance excellence.

Ms. Maria Rowena C. Madarang, ARD for Finance and Administrative Services and Quality Management Representative, and Ms. Hansi G. Dumla, Science Research Specialist II and MIS Officer selflessly shared their best practices in the Knowledge Management System that focuses on Categories 4 and 6 of the PQA Criteria for Performance Excellence. They also extended their expert services to all categories through open consultation and looking into the narrative reports per category. The institution received a positive comment about having a very good narrative write-up.
