To give awareness on water and flood as well as equip and train the NSTP-CWTS faculty members and staff and student leaders on incidents like drowning, a Water and Search Rescue Training (WASAR) was conducted on 30 November 2024 – 01 December 2024.
The training began with a seminar on water competency, highlighting the skills needed for water safety and survival, swift water, and flood techniques with an emphasis on the appropriate use of water equipment. Simultaneous trainings were then conducted at a pool in Mainit, MP, and the Chico River.
Said training was initiated by the NSTP-CWTS in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection.
