April 20, 2024. Urging the need for effective measures in sustaining development and a healthy environment, Societas Scientia has been actively engaging in combats against environmental problems, especially on water pollution along the Chico River. A total of 75 bags of assorted non-biodegradable wastes was collected on the first day of the three-day clean-up drive along the banks of Chico River from Brgy. Poblacion to Brgy. Bontoc Ili, Bontoc.
The activity was a success through the participation of Societas Scientia members, MPSPC students enrolled in Science, Technology and Society, MPSPC Science Faculty, Barangay Council members of Poblacion, Bontoc, and Mr. Denis Kongoy representing the Sangguniang Kabataan of Bontoc. The clean-up drive will continue on April 27 and May 1, 2024.
