MPSU, partner agencies celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month through tree-planting

The University in partnership with SK Dalican conducted a tree-planting activity, today, 20 November 2024 to raise awareness about mental health. The World Health Organization recognizes the previous month, October 2024 as Mental Health Awareness Month.

Said event was participated by Bontoc Municipal Police Station, Bontoc Fire Station, BJMP, CENRO-Sabangan, PENRO, MPSU employees, SK Dalican officials, and accredited student organizations.

A total of 250 pine seedlings were planted in the areas around Dalican Lake.

Further, this activity is grounded in the belief that earthing, or grounding, involves making direct contact with the Earth’s surface to absorb its natural energy, which provides various health benefits that enhance mental health and physical well-being.

The initiative was facilitated by the University’s Student Services and Development Office, Gender and Development Office and SK-Dalican.
