
Document custodians from the academic and administration sectors underwent a training-workshop on streamlining documents through digital files and network storage solutions today, 27 November 2024 at the Administration Conference Hall.
Initiated by the Management Information System Unit, the activity aimed at unlocking efficiency through document management, file digitization, and enhanced network folder access, representing a strategic move for the University as it seeks to continuously optimize its operations.
Further, the activity introduced the best practices for scanning, organizing, and storing files electronically; efficient digital file management systems; and practical strategies for effective file sharing and communication. The participants went through hands-on workshops on Network Attached Storage (NAS), capacitated with skills in file naming, and organizing documents, among others.
University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by Director for International and Local Linkages Dr. Karen B. Cue stressed the crucial role of the activity, contributing to the foundations of the Universityโs project for a smart campus.
Said initiative is a testament to the Universityโs VMGT and a commitment to delivering quality services to its stakeholders.
