Tulong Dunong Program grant distributed to 595 grantees in MPSU


Grantees of the Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) received financial assistance today, 18 October 2024 at the Gov. Leonard G. Mayaen Sports Complex. 330 TDP for State Universities and Colleges (TDP-SUC) and 265 TDP-Tertiary Education Subsidy (TDP-TES) grantees received Php 7,500.00 each.

In his welcome remarks, University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco advised the grantees to use the given opportunity to invest their best effort in their studies. “These grants from the government clearly show that our leaders are molding the youths of today who will shape the future by investing in our youths’ education. As we, your leaders, together with your parents, are finding more ways how to provide a better and more convenient education to you, our children, and our students,” he further added.

Further inspiring the grantees and attendees with their messages were Department of Education Secretary Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara represented by Board Member Ezra Samson A. Gomez, Congressman Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr., Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., represented by Executive Assistant Ernesto Bondad; Board Members Ricardo Masidong, Jr. and Johnson II Bantog, Bontoc Municipal Mayor Jerome B. Tudlong, Jr. represented by Municipal Administrator Eric Fulangen, Jr. and Municipal Councilor of Bauko Edna Bantasan Capuyan. Also present during the payout were University officials and staff, students, and their parents and guardians.
