
The Cordillera Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Resources Research and Development (CORCAARRD) kicked off the opening program for the second cluster of the regional symposium, focusing on non-AANR categories. This gathering brought together brilliant minds dedicated to advancing research and development initiatives in the sociocultural and education sectors.
The event featured insightful presentations across various categories. In the Education Category, held at the BSU Gymnasium, Rollie C. Mejia presented his study titled “Board Examination Performance and Academic Performance of Civil Engineering Graduates at Mountain Province State Polytechnic College: Basis for System and Policy Formulation.”
In the Socio-Cultural Category, held at the Everlasting Hall of the R&E Building, Luzlyn M. Agwilang shared her research on “Exploring the Factors Influencing Organizational Commitment in a Public Higher Education Institution,” while Jonnelle Fagsao presented “Gastronomic ‘Imontanyosa’ Cuisine in the Light of Theoretical Onomastics: A Preliminary Study.”
The Student Non-AANR Category, held at Solibao Hall of NPRCRTC, also showcased remarkable research. Clarette T. Lopez presented her work on the “Ability of Student Nurses in Implementing Therapeutic Communication Techniques during Clinical Practice,” and Jhary P. Lang-odan explored the “Assessment of Accounting Information System (AIS) Challenges of Micro and Small Cooperatives.”
Following the presentations, Certificates of Participation were awarded to the presenters, recognizing their valuable contributions to regional research efforts. The program continued until yesterday, October 17, 2024, with more presentations and opportunities for collaboration among participants.
