University Official Student Publication ups EdBoard staff journalism skills thru press work

To continuously hone their journalism skills, the Editorial Board Staff of the Tala, The Mocking Bird, the Official Student Publication of the University conducted an intense press work today, 10 October 2024, at the Student Center and Audio-Visual Room.

Said press work also aimed at preparing the student journalists for upcoming journalism conferences and University extension services.

Further, University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by Bontoc campus Director Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed, shared his thoughts on student journalists’ journey: “To some, they may have been mentored, but for others, they are proactively self-learned but very resourceful, yet here you are, very fortunate to be trained and immersed in this writeshop.”

“Being a journalist, you are not only tasked with reporting news, but you also have the opportunity to explore the pulse of MPSU to tell stories that matter and to raise voices for the things unnoticed and break the silence,” he added.
