Dean’s and President’s Listers and varsity athletes of the Tadian campus were awarded certificates of recognition for excelling in academics and sports yesterday, 09 October 2024, at the IPED Building, Tadian campus.
Bearing the theme, “Reaching New Heights: Celebrating Excellence in Our Transformation,” Ms. Charito N. Binwag, School Principal of the Kayan East Elementary School, served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker for the Araw ng Parangal. In her message, Ms. Binwag acknowledged how the awardees found ways to navigate new landscapes, learn and thrive in unfamiliar circumstances, and grow through the obstacles they faced. Adding to her thoughts, she stressed, “..sustain this continual process of striving to be better, of pushing yourselves to new heights, and of embracing change with open arms; however, be cautioned: getting these awards does not make you better than the rest of the studentry.” She then advised the achievers to internalize that everyone got what they got; but somehow, they were at the right place at the right moment with the right momentum that chucked them to discover and develop themselves ahead of them. “This thought, my dear awardees, will keep you rooted while you bloom,” she further added.
Moreover, University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by the VP for Administration and Finance, Mr. Reynaldo P. Gayo, Jr., thanked and expressed his gratitude to the achievers for being good students, lauding them as the University’s treasure, as well as the parents and guardians for entrusting their education and guidance to the institution.
“Let this celebration of your achievements be your launchpad for a better future; hence, continue being an achiever and an inspiration to your classmates so they can do their best, too, because I believe your potential knows no bounds and never cease learning, growing, and uplifting yourselves and the people around you,” Dr. Cue added.
The Araw ng Parangal is a semester event of the University, recognizing student achievements in academics, extracurriculars, and co-curricular activities. Present during the said event are the achievers’ parents/guardians, fellow students, and University personnel and officials.
