The Institutional Quality Assurance Unit, in collaboration with the DPWH-Mountain Province 1st District Engineering Office (MP1stDEO), carried out a workshop on preventive maintenance today, 21 January 2025, at the MPSU-Administration Conference Hall.
Participated by GSO personnel, this workshop contributes to sustaining the Institutionโs compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 by equipping participants with the essential skills and knowledge needed to implement safety and preventive measures within the Institution. Preventive maintenance as per ISO standards is the systematic approach to maintaining equipment, buildings, or systems through regular inspections, servicing, and repairs to prevent unexpected failures and ensure optimal performance. In line with this, the workshop will significantly enhance the GSOโs systems and processes, promoting the overall operational efficiency of the University.
Ms. Heirnce F. Padcayan, Engineer II / District Public Information Officer, served as the keynote speaker. Her knowledge and expertise in preventive maintenance greatly enriched the discussions and further increased the participants’ understanding of the topic.
A highlight of the workshop was the creation of forms on buildings, equipment, and vehicle maintenance and how these may be accomplished. The remainder of the activity involved collaborative sessions and knowledge-sharing among the participants.
