MPSU Receives Aid for Typhoon-Affected Students


𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍 | A total of 1,020 relief goods from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) were turned over to Mountain Province State University (MPSU) today, November 17, 2025 at the Administration Lobby.

University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue along with Vice President for Administration and Finance Mr. Reynaldo P. Gayo Jr., MPSU Bontoc Campus Administrator Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed, and Student Regent Hon. Hill Coleman C. Awichen were present to receive the goods.

These essential goods are earmarked for distribution to MPSU-Bontoc students who cannot go home to Sadanga, Kalinga, Barlig, Natonin, Paracelis, and Ifugao due to the road closures and who have pre-registered for the relief distribution following the severe impact of Typhoon Uwan . The university is scheduled to distribute the relief packages tomorrow, November 18, 2025, also at the Administration Lobby.

The MPSU community extends its profound gratitude to the DSWD for their prompt and vital assistance to its students in need.
