At MPSU-Bontoc, the evacuation took place at the Eyeb Grounds, where the campus’ Incident Command Center and Emergency Operations Center recorded a total of 1,062 evacuees, comprising 673 females and 389 males.
MPSU-Tadian held its evacuation at the campus oval, reporting that all evacuees were accounted for without incident.
At MPSU-Ba-ang, 13 evacueesโ7 males and 6 femalesโgathered safely at the Administration Building Grounds.
Similarly, MPSU-Paracelis conducted its evacuation on the campus grounds, with all participants accounted for.
General opportunities for improvement across all campuses were raised during the post assessments. Campuses should ensure clear student accounting during evacuations. During drills with simulated incidents, medical and support areas need proper equipment like tents and tables, while information stations should have maps and whiteboards. Evacuees should be separated by gender, exits designated to reduce congestion, and rooms clearly marked. All Students also need to take the drills seriously.
Future improvements include using LED screens, live video feeds, better coordination for supplies, and working closely with student organizations to boost preparedness.
