Given the unique challenges faced by the university community, including academic pressures, social dynamics, and personal growth, the Universityโs Gender and Development Unit conducted an initiative on mental health awareness at MPSU-Tadian today, 29 October 2025, dubbed โHEAL: Health, Empowerment, Awareness, and Life Towards a Mentally Healthy University.โ
Dr. Ricky Balicdang-Ducas, who served as the resource speaker, tackled Mental Health Awareness: Understanding Stress Management and Common Mental Health Concerns.
VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco, who represented University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, urged the students, faculty, and staff to prioritize emotional resilience and support one another to create a mentally healthy and empathetic educational environment.
Said initiative, attended by both personnel and students, is โbuilt on the understanding that mental health is crucial for the overall well-being and success of students, faculty, and staff.โ
