BONTOC CAMPUS. 581 new student interns for the Second Semester of AY 2024-2025 attended a pre-internship orientation with an emphasis on gender equality today, 23 January 2025. At the same time, psychological testing was also conducted by the Guidance and Counseling Office.

Per CMO 104 s. 2017, the Student Internship Program of the Philippines (SIPP) office is tasked to provide a pre-internship orientation to student interns before their deployment to various internship venues. Said orientation covered work ethics, anti-sexual harassment laws, and health protocols as prerequisites for enrollment.

On the other hand, the psychological testing aims to assess their mental fitness and preparedness for the demands of their internship role, helping to identify potential areas of concern related to stress management, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills, This is crucial for effective performance in a professional setting, especially when working with clients or sensitive situations; this allows for early intervention and support if needed, ensuring both the intern’s well-being and the quality of their work.#
