IPED Building— Honoring retirees for their years of dedicated service to the academe has been a regular tradition of the University.

Today, 09 January 2026, MPSU celebrates the 33 years of dedicated service and legacy of Engr. Andrew M. Layag, as he retires.

Engr. Layag began his career at the University, then known as MPSPC, as an Instructor I in 1992. Over the years, he advanced through the ranks and now retires as an Associate Professor I in the College of Engineering at MPSU-Tadian.

Reflecting on his journey and contributions, the program also featured messages of support and best wishes from University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco, and MPSU-Tadian Administrator Dr. Brent Greg E. Gomuad. Additional messages were given by alumni representatives and Engr. Layag’s colleagues from the various colleges in the campus. Also present during the event were VP for Administration and Finance Mr. Reynaldo P. Gayo, Jr. And VP for Innovation, Research, Development, Publication and Extension Dr. Epiphania B. Magwilang.

Presentations were also made by the College of Teacher Education, the College of Engineering, and the College of Agriculture and Forestry.
