Bannering his administrationโs vision, University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue delivered an inspirational message during the student orientation of the College of Healthcare Education at the Mayaen’s Sport Complex on January 7, 2025.
Setting the tone for their academic journey, Dr. Cue posed a challenge to the future healthcare professionals.
โThe ultimate challenge when you step out of MPSU is how you utilize your education to serve the communities,โ said Dr. Cue.
He urged students to reflect on how they would apply their competencies and values to uplift lives and address real-world health disparities.
Dr. Cue also emphasized that MPSU is committed to providing a healthcare education that is “culturally, innovatively, and globally grounded”, preparing students not just for licensure, but for leadership in a rapidly evolving global health landscape.
Moreover, Dr. Cue cited the university’s recent achievements, including its performance in the Nursing Licensure Examination. “This just shows that we are on the right path,” he said.
He also highlighted MPSU’s growing global presence, with its programs and services gaining recognition from international award-giving bodies. “These rankings translate to how the graduates of the University will fare across the global workforce”, he noted, underscoring the value of an MPSU diploma in the international arena.
Finally, he encouraged students to pursue academic excellence and embrace their role as future healthcare leaders committed to service, innovation and transformation.
