CAMPUS UPDATE|| MPSU holds food packs distribution 2.0 to MPSU-Bontoc students

Administration Lobby, MPSU-Bontoc— The University, through its Supreme Student Council and in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), successfully distributed 255 food packs to students today, 21 January 2026.

University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue encouraged the beneficiaries, emphasizing resilience and determination in the face of adversity. “Do not allow hardship to define your tomorrow. As students of this University, you are meant to conquer peaks. No storm is strong enough to wash away dreams anchored in determination and faith,” he said.

Vice President for Administration and Finance, Mr. Reynaldo P. Gayo, Jr., expressed full support for the initiative, while Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco, extended gratitude to DSWD for their generosity, which helps sustain the academic pursuits of students. Student Regent Mr. Hill Coleman Awichen also thanked the University Administration for the continuous and strong support for the welfare of the students.

This distribution is part of the spirit of bayanihan and og-ogfo, aimed at assisting University students who have been unable to return to their home municipalities due to the devastation caused by Typhoon Uwan last year. This marks the second wave of aid following initial distributions at MPSU-Bontoc and MPSU-Tadian.
