FOR YOUTH HEALTH AND WELL-BEING|| MPSU meets with DOH-CHD CAR; explores initiatives to strengthen health programs


Upper Caluttit, Bontoc, MP— University representatives from the Health Services, Gender and Development, and Guidance and Counseling offices met with representatives from the Department of Health-Center for Health Development, Cordillera Administrative Region, headed by Mr. Michael Capuyan, Jr., for an exploratory coordination meeting today, 14 April 2026.

During the meeting, the University presented its current health programs supporting the health and well-being of adolescents and young people, including clinical services, mental health support, and various health promotion initiatives.

Representatives from the Provincial Health Office subsequently presented their adolescent health and development programs, along with other relevant intervention strategies. Senior Health Program Officer Mr. Albert Jose Sumadchat then outlined the Department of Health’s technical assistance menu for adolescent health and development programs.

Knowledge sharing and exploratory discussion followed afterwards.

Representing MPSU were Health Services Director Mr. Joseph Brillantes, GAD Director Ms. Michelle Doss, Ms. Crystine Felimon, Ms. Annie Lourie Paredes, Ms. Lyn Dup-et, Mr. Lloyd Sagayo, Ms. Ethne Lingbanan, and Mr. Aaron Fakat.

Other attendees include representatives from the Provincial Department of Health Office of Mountain Province.
