The Institutional Quality Assurance Unit under the Vice President for Internationalization, Planning and Information Management (VPIPIM) convened the members of the technical working group for the preparations of required documents for the UI GreenMetric Sustainable University Rankings assessment today, 19 June 2026.
During the meeting, IQA Director Ms. Collins F. Lidua presented the seven areas of assessment, namely, setting and infrastructure; energy and climate change; waste management; water usage; transportation; education and research; and governance and digitalization.
Further members of the Technical Working Group (TWG) brainstormed alongside VPIPIM Atty. Dexter C. Lingbanan and VP for Administration and Finance Mr. Reynaldo P. Gayo Jr. The collaborative sessions allowed the team to immediately exchange data, map out compliance requirements, and pinpoint specific University offices and sources where the needed baseline attachments and documentary evidence could be secured.
The UI GreenMetric evaluates global campus sustainability across the abovementioned seven areas. To note, the University ranked No. 753 worldwide during the 2025 UI GreenMetric assessment, with a total score of 6,035.
