MPSU honors future nurses at 19th Capping Ceremony


The College of Healthcare Education (CHE) marked a milestone yesterday, June 29, as it held its 19th Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting ceremony of Batch Tanglaw carrying the theme “Cultivating globally competent and practice-ready nurses for inclusive healthcare,” held at Bontoc Municipal Auditorium.

University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue delivered an inspiring message, reminding the students that nursing is both a science and a calling.

“To be globally competent means continously learning and adapting, while being practice-ready means combining skills with resilience, compassion, and a heart of service. Take time to appreciate the beauty of your own journey. and YES, if life becomes overwhelming, rest if you must, but DO NOT GIVE UP,” said Dr. Cue.

Said event was graced with the presence and inspirational messages of Ms. Leuntine Gomez Habawel, who served as the guest of honor and speaker, and Congressman Atty. Maximo Y. Dalog Jr., whose presence underscored the community’s support for the future of healthcare education.#
