MPSU IP Studes Dormitory Undergoes Validation by NHA Personnel

The proposed Mountain Province State University (MPSU) Indigenous Peoples (IP) Students Dormitory underwent validation and ocular inspection by personnel from the National Housing Authority (NHA) today, June 26, at the MPSU-Faliling Extension.

This activity was conducted following the endorsement and approval of the National Housing Authority’s (NHA) priority development programs by the Mountain Province Provincial Development Council (PDC) during its second quarter meeting, where the proposed MPSU IP Students Dormitory was identified as one of the priority projects for implementation.

Said validation of the IP Students Dormitory marks a significant milestone in MPSU’s continuing efforts to promote equity and inclusivity in education by providing safe and conducive living spaces for Indigenous Peoples students while strengthening its partnership with the National Housing Authority (NHA) in advancing student welfare and community development.

Atty. Dublin G. Okoren-Facullo facilitated the validation process, ensuring that the activity adhered to institutional protocols and legal standards. The inspection focused on assessing the dormitory’s structural integrity, compliance with housing requirements, and readiness to accommodate IP students who will benefit from the facility.

The activity was spearheaded by National Housing Authority (NHA) personnel, viz., Engineer Christopher S. Saingan Jr., District Manager for CAR and Region I, and Engineer Niedo Aurelio M. Victorio, Jr., in collaboration with MPSU representatives from the Project Management Office, Engrs. Jonathan Layugan and Jepson Bosantog; the Planning and Development Office, Mr. Jayvee G. Apolinar; and the Legal Affairs Office, Atty. Dublin G. Okoren-Facullo, Ms. Leonilyn Dangeo, and Ms. Monaliza Olod.
