132 MPSU Beneficiaries of TDP-SUC One-Time-Grant Receive Orientation and Pay-out

Bontoc, Mountain Province – A total of 132 students from the Mountain Province State University (MPSU) Bontoc and Tadian campuses received orientation and pay-out under the Tulong Dunong Program–State Universities and Colleges (TDP-SUC) at the University’s Administration Conference Hall today, July 7.

The Tulong Dunong Program–State Universities and Colleges (TDP-SUC) One-Time Grant is provided under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of MPSU through the University’s continued partnership with the Congressional Office of Congressman Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr. The program provides Php 7,500 to each grantee who is academically capable but financially disadvantaged, helping them pursue higher education.

In the welcome remarks of Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco, delivered by Scholarship Grants Director Dr. Jay B. Napanoy, students were reminded to cherish their education and use their grants as a stepping stone toward achieving their dreams.

MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by Bontoc Campus Administrator Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed, delivered an inspiring message to the participants. “This financial assistance is not simply money to be received—it is an investment in your education, your future, and your potential. Financial support opens doors, but your determination and effort will carry you across the finish line,” Dr. Cue highlighted.

Congressman Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr., through his Chief-of-Staff, Atty. Cyphrine Maxcel Y. Dalog-Duclan, also shared a message of support and extended his gratitude to the MPSU community. “Always remember not to lose focus, not to lose your education… As your representative in Congress, I assure that our office remains committed to supporting accessible and inclusive education in our province,” Congressman Dalog said.

Prior to the pay-out, Dr. Napanoy conducted an orientation for the beneficiaries, providing them with important information on the policies, guidelines, responsibilities under the TDP-SUC One-Time Grant.

In her closing remarks, Dean of the Student Services Development Office (SSDO), Ms. Jennifer Ruth C. Tuazon, recognized the individuals and offices whose collective efforts contributed to the successful conduct of the activity. “As you leave this hall, do not view this pay-out just a financial relief but a serious promise to yourself to excel,” Ms. Tuazon said.
