MPSU ICT Leads HRIS and IQA Filing System Orientation for HRMO and IQA Personnel

The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Office of Mountain Province State University (MPSU) conducted an activity title ‘Workshop on the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and IQA Filing System’ today, July 10, 2026, at the Administration Conference Hall, equipping personnel from the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) and the Institutional Quality Assurance (IQA) Office with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively utilize the newly developed systems.

In his welcome remarks, Vice President for Administration and Finance Reynaldo P. Gayo Jr. described the workshop as “an important milestone in our continuing efforts to strengthen institutional efficiency, improve records management, and enhance the quality of services we provide to our stakeholders,” emphasizing MPSU’s commitment to digital transformation.

Meanwhile, MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue delivered an inspirational message underscoring the significance of the initiative, saying, “The implementation of the Human Resource Information System and the IQA Filing System is more than adopting new technology. It reflects our commitment to a more efficient, transparent, and responsive university.”

Said activity was designed to familiarize participants with the features and proper use of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and the Institutional Quality Assurance (IQA) Filing System. It aimed to promote efficient, accurate, and secure human resource transactions, strengthen quality assurance document management, enhance digital competencies, and support the University’s digital transformation and administrative efficiency.

During the session, participants were introduced to the key functions of both systems through demonstrations and guided hands-on exercises. The workshop covered employee profile management, personnel records handling, document encoding and retrieval, report generation, and basic troubleshooting. An open forum was also held to allow participants to raise questions and share feedback.

The technical sessions were led by Mr. Geoffrey Alvin L. Ticangan, lead project developer of the HRIS and IQA Filing System, together with Ms. Lance D. Dario, ICT Staff/Programmer, and ICT personnel Mr. Jude Anthony L. Baguingey, Mr. Lywe Joen P. Dup-et, and Mr. Hezron T. Sina-oy, who assisted in the deployment of the systems. Throughout the workshop, the ICT Team facilitated system demonstrations, guided the hands-on exercises, and provided technical support to participants.

In his closing remarks, Atty. Dexter C. Lingbanan encouraged participants to put their learning into practice, expressing hope that the knowledge gained from the workshop would “serve as a springboard to inspire us to continuously improve our systems within our respective offices.”

Through the orientation, MPSU reaffirmed its commitment to digital transformation by equipping its personnel with the skills needed to use modern information systems effectively. The initiative is expected to strengthen human resource management and institutional quality assurance, while contributing to a more efficient and responsive public service.
