MPSU-Bontoc conducts orientation on enhanced faculty reclassification guidelines

Mountain Province State University (MPSU)-Bontoc held its Faculty Orientation on the Enhanced Implementing Guidelines for Faculty Reclassification in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) today, July 22, at the University Auditorium.

Said activity gathered university officials, deans, Institutional Evaluation Committee (IEC) members, and faculty members to enhance their understanding of the updated policies on faculty position classification, reclassification, and promotion in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs).

Representing University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco delivered the President’s message, encouraging participants to actively engage in the discussions and work together in ensuring the effective implementation of the enhanced guidelines.

The orientation focused on the provisions, documentary requirements, evaluation criteria, and implementation process of DBM–CHED Joint Circular No. 1, s. 2026, to help ensure consistent application across the University. It also incorporated a Gender and Development (GAD) perspective to support fair, inclusive, and responsive faculty evaluation and promotion processes.

The activity also served as a venue to address concerns, clarify issues, and strengthen MPSU’s commitment to transparent, equitable, and quality human resource management.
