25 Scholars Inducted for TESDA Scholarship Program


BAUKO, Mountain Province — The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in Partnership with Mountain Province State University, under the leadership of Dr. Edgar G. Cue, and the Office of Congressman Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr conducted a Training Induction Program for 25 scholars in Coffee Production Level II at the Victor S. Dominguez Research and Extension Development Center, Baang, Banao Campus, on July 23, 2026.

Supervising TESD Specialist Adolovenie M. Saguipil led the induction, orienting the enrollees on the benefits of the scholarship grants and the responsibilities of learners.

Congressman Maximo Y. Dalog Jr., represented by Political Affairs Officer Erlindo Agwilang, urged the scholars to take the training seriously, noting its role in accelerating socio‑economic development and strengthening the local coffee industry. He added that the program offered by MPSU is supported by extensive research.

University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, through Administrator Brenda P. Liis, also inspired the participants, emphasizing that the knowledge gained will benefit not only individuals but also organizations and communities. He thanked Congressman Dalog for his continued support to technical education and skills development.

The training will be facilitated by Domingo L. Lawagey and will run for 22 days and cover competencies in planting coffee seedlings, maintaining coffee plants, and harvesting coffee.
