
BONTOC, MOUNTAIN PROVINCE — August 7, 2026 — The Executive Council of Mountain Province State University (MPSU)–Bontoc, led by Campus Administrator Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed, convened today to discuss key matters regarding faculty development, academic planning, accreditation, the cultural exchange program, and student welfare.
The council addressed the faculty development requests, which focused on strengthening faculty members’ professional capabilities through relevant training, seminars, and other development opportunities.
In addition, the council also discussed accreditation updates as part of the university’s continuing efforts to maintain academic quality and comply with institutional standards. Another significant matter was the International Cultural Immersion Program, which will happen this coming September 2026.
The meeting further included the midterm examination schedule, the Teachers’ Program, and Individual Performance Commitment and Review (IPCR) targets. Meanwhile, student concerns were included in the meeting to ensure that issues affecting learners are properly identified and addressed.
The meeting reflected MPSU’s continuing efforts to strengthen its academic programs, support faculty growth, pursue international engagement, and respond to the needs of its students and personnel.
