BAUKO, Mountain Province — The Victor S. Dominguez Research and Extension Development Center of Mountain Province State University (MPSU) – Bauko Campus, under the leadership of President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Office of Congressman Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr., formally inducted learners into the Bamboo Production NC II and Coffee Production Level II programs on September 8, 2026.

Funded through the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) of TESDA, the induction program aimed to orient learners on the benefits of the scholarship and their responsibilities as beneficiaries, ensuring they are prepared to maximize the opportunities provided.

Congressman Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr., represented by Mr. Dionisio Wacdisen, challenged the participants to take the training seriously, emphasizing that such initiatives enhance individual productivity and contribute to the growth of the bamboo and coffee industries in Mountain Province.

Meanwhile, MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, through his representative Ms. Brenda Liis, left an inspiring message to the learners: “The strongest bamboo is not the one that never bends, but the one that bends with the storm, stands again, and continues to grow.”

The induction program underscored the continuing partnership between TESDA, Office of Congressman Maximo Y Dalog, Jr and MPSU in advancing technical‑vocational education, strengthening local industries, and promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities for the communities of Mountain Province.
