As part of the Academic and Cultural Exchange Program and the WE-BREW 2026 conference, a Cultural Night and Fellowship Dinner hosted by the Office Congressman Hon. Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr. was held yesterday, September 16, 2026 at the Teng-ab, Pastoral Complex, Bontoc, Mountain Province.
Said event convened members of the Mountain Province State University (MPSU) academic community, international partners, students, faculty members, and participants in an evening of cultural exchange, fellowship, and shared experiences.
The event highlighted the diverse cultural heritage of the Cordillera through performances featuring Bontoc, Ifugao, and Kalinga cultural dances, alongside presentations from students of CGC University, Mohali, India.
In his message, MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue emphasized that while academic and research engagements bring people and institutions together, meaningful relationships and friendships help sustain these connections. He underscored the importance of using opportunities such as WE-BREW 2026 not only to exchange knowledge and ideas but also to build lasting connections across cultures.
Meanwhile, Congressman Dalog, Jr. highlighted the spirit of ‘og-ogfo’ or mutual help and cooperation reflected in the gathering, as local and international participants came together to celebrate their shared connections.
The evening culminated in a community dance that brought international and local partners, students, faculty members, and other participants together in celebration.
More than a showcase of cultural performances, the Cultural Night and Fellowship Dinner provided an avenue for strengthening connections among people from different cultures and communities, reinforcing the role of WE-BREW 2026 in fostering friendship, cultural appreciation, and collaboration beyond borders.
WE-BREW 2026 thus continued to bring people together through shared knowledge, cultural exchange, and friendships that transcend cultures and borders.
