Reinforcing Mountain Province State University’s (MPSU) commitment to quality, inclusive, and accessible education, University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue graced the ETEEAP Joint Visit in collaboration with Commission on Higher Education (CHED) yesterday, September 29, held at Admin Conference Hall, MPSU, Bontoc, MP.
Dr. Cue through his Chief-of-Staff, Dr. Karen B. Cue underscored that the engagement should go beyond evaluation, recognition, or compliance, describing it as an opportunity for MPSU and CHED to work together, to learn from one another, and strengthen their shared commitment to responsive higher education.
He highlighted MPSU’s vision of an institution that responds to the needs and aspirations of its people- one that recognizes the knowledge, skills, and experiences learners gain not only inside classrooms but also through work, service, and life experiences.
“At its heart is our commitment to building an institution that responds to the needs and aspirations of our people,” said Dr. Cue, pointing ETEEAP as a meaningful pathway that transform prior learning and experience into opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Anchoring his message on the value of collaboration, Dr. Cue cited Henry Ford’s words: “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.”
Said ETEEAP Joint Visit thus marks another step in MPSU’s continuing pursuit of institutional development- strengthening partnerships, advancing accessible education, and creating more meaningful pathways for learners whose knowledge and competencies have been shaped beyond the traditional classroom.
